What is National Centre for Physics (NCP)?

To advance physics and related applied sciences research in the nation and the area, the National Centre for Physics was formed.

On the model of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (AS-ICTP), Trieste, Italy, NCP will develop into a centre of excellence in the fields of physics and allied new areas.

Vacancy Position

Snr Scientific Officer (BPS-18/Equivalent)

Qualification and Experience Required

PhD in Experimental High Energy Physics with a BS, MS, MPhil, or M.Sc. in Physics as a prerequisite

A good academic and scientific background, familiarity with simulations, and knowledge of programming languages (C++, Python), are required of the candidate. They should also have experience with machine learning approaches to deduce the underlying characteristics in complicated large data. A plus would be knowledge of particle detectors, physics data processing, and collider physics.

The applicant is anticipated to take the lead in one of the present or upcoming research projects as a member of a significant international scientific cooperation like CMS, Neutrino Physics.

Scientific Officer (BPS-17/Equivalent

Qualification and Experience Required

MSc Physics with a 4 year BS in Physics (1st Div)

A strong academic record in one or more pertinent courses, such as particle physics, nuclear physics, quantum mechanics, and/or quantum field theory, is anticipated of the candidate.

Candidates with M.Phil. Degrees in experimental high energy physics will be given preference. C++ and Python programming knowledge would be advantageous.

Assistant Manager (BPS-17/Equivalent)

Qualification and Experience Required

MBA, BBA (four years), MPA, MSc, MA HRM, MS, or an equivalent postgraduate degree (four years of study after intermediate school) in management, human resources, or marketing with a first-class grade

It may be recommended if you have at least three years of experience in the administrative, human resource, and marketing fields.

Assistant Technical Officer (BPS-16/Equivalent)

Qualification and Experience Required

B. Tech (Hons) Mechanical or an equivalent degree with a first-class grade OR

Mechanical Engineering

B. Tech. (Pass) with 1st Division OR

A three-year Associate Engineer in Mechanical degree with a first-place grade from an accredited polytechnic institution

09 years of relevant experience; or 13 years of relevant experience Favored Skills

Solid familiarity with vacuum systems and equipment.

General Instructions / How to Apply?

Third Division cannot be tolerated throughout one's academic career.

First-class academic standing is preferred, however one second-place finish (50%) is permitted, with the exception of the final degree, when a first-place finish (60%) or a CGPA of 2.5/4.0 is required for a position.

First class degrees need a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 out of 4.0 or at least 60% on a yearly basis, while second class degrees call for a CGPA of 2.0 to 2.49 out of 4.0 or at least 50% on a yearly basis.

The maximum age is 35 as of the advertisement's closing date.

Candidates must hold academic degrees from institutions or universities that have been approved by the Higher Education Commission, and they must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (for engineering degrees), the Board of Technical Education, or other institutions that have received government recognition.

Post Qualification Experience is defined as the experience accumulated from the day the required qualification was attained until the closure date.

At the time of the test or interview, candidates who are already employed by government or semi-government organisations must present a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from those companies.

The candidate alone will be responsible for the accuracy of the data.
