What is National Crisis Management Cell?

The National Crisis Management Cell, or NCMC, is the Ministry of Interior's key entity for managing and assessing domestic intelligence (MOI). In addition, it supports the government at all levels of command in managing intelligence. Other tasks include creating counter-intelligence, counter-proliferation, and counter-insurgency initiatives.

Established in 2001 with the goals of eradicating religious extremism from society and combating domestic and international terrorism in all of its forms and expressions. However, its influence and function in the intelligence community continued to grow and develop, and it now plays a larger part in issuing alerts and organising defences against all types of threats to the state.

The NCMC, which has its main office in Islamabad, is in charge of conducting electronic monitoring and aerial surveillance to uphold law and order and ensure national security. Through an electronic system, it has built computerised and electronic facilities in each of the four provinces.

All positions will be filled on a contract basis for a starting time of two years, or until the project is finished, whichever comes first.
